Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in Hanky Panky & To-A-T Review & Swatches

Hello Beauties,

As you all have seen from my previous posts I am in love with Colourpop cosmetics. They have great eyeshadow that are super pigmented, great range of colors and are only 5 dollars a pop! They recently came out with matte shades and of course I had to pick them up.

Hanky Panky: Is a warm light brown shade, and is perfect for the crease. I have been using the shade since the day I go it and it is my go to shade for the crease now. The formula is very smooth and the shades blends easily with a brush or finger.

To-A-T: A beautiful dark matte brown with is really warm. This shade is also perfect for the crease if you are doing a smokey look. The formula is great with this one as well, it blends like a dream with a brush or finger.

Over all I am really impressed with the matte shades as well. The formula is amazing, they are bouncy in the packaging and go on super smooth on the lid. I seriously love Colourpop Cosmetics, they have amazing products. Let me know in the comments below if you have tried anything from this brand. Thank you for reading and have a great day.

Milani Blush in Romantic Rose Review & Swatches

Hello Beauties,

Milani re-released their matte blushes with the flower pattern this year. There are four (pretty sure) shades, and I picked up two. I have been trying these blushes for a couple of weeks now, and I am in love. First time when these blushes were released I looked everywhere to find them, but unlucky me I didnt find them. First of all lets talk about the packaging, the blush has a rose pattern to it, with a clear lid and name on the back. Romantic Rose is a pretty rosy matte shade, with brown undertones.

The texture of this blush I would say is powdery, but just in the pan. Once you have it on your cheeks it blends out very easily and is not powdery at all. I have been waiting a long time to get my hands on these blushes and I am really impressed. Milani did a great job with these and I think I might be buying more soon. Thank you for reading and I hope all of you have a great day.

Guest Post: L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation Review

Hello Beauties,

I have a guest post on my blog today, I haven't done one of these for a while so starting this month I will be doing one each month. Today we have the beautiful Tiffany from Stay Beautifful, check her blog out to see reviews of makeup products.

Hey everybody! I hope you are all doing well. I'm so excited for spring, not only because it's only the season before summer, but because of all the new launches from brands! The drugstore has recently exploded with new lines and new products, and L'oreal is no exception. The L'oreal Infallible range has been extended to include a foundation, powder and setting spray!
I have yet to test out the powder and setting spray, but today I am reviewing their brand new foundation, the L'oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation.
Where to buy: You can purchase the Infallible Pro-Matte foundation on L'oreal.com, or on Target.com for $11.99-12.99 (give or take a a few dollars depending on where you purchase it.)
Claims: Here's what L'oreal has to say about the Pro-Matte foundation: "Achieve a matte finish that won’t fall flat with this air-light, long wearing liquid formula. Lightweight and creamy, foundation goes on smooth with a demi-matte finish that lasts up to 24 hours—hiding imperfections for a smooth, clear complexion."
So, the foundation claims to feels light on the skin, goes on creamy, and appears smooth on the skin, and wears for a whole day! I did not test it for a full 24 hours because wearing makeup for so long isn't great for the skin, and I don't sleep with makeup on, but I did have it on for 9-10 hours, most of the day- which is as long as the average person will need foundation coverage. Who's going around with foundation for 24 hours on a daily basis right? But it's good to know if you need it, this will offer a great wear time.
Personally, I was over the moon when I found out L'oreal was coming out with this foundation. I was on the hunt for a good matte foundation, and I was even contemplating splurging for a high-end foundation at Sephora, but I'm really glad I didn't! Read on to find out why...
Here are a few shots of the packaging:

The Infallible Pro-Matte foundation comes in a compact squeeze tube with a twist off plastic cap:

I bought two shades to see which one would fit me better, and it turns out the Sun Beige was perfect for my NW25-30 skintone, but I'm saving Fresh Beige for the summertime when I get tanner. Here's a swatch comparison in case anybody was wondering about the shades. (I know it's really hard to tell how the shades differ, especially online.)
IMG_2282
My skin/skin type: I am around NW25-30, and normally a medium-beige shade in foundations and concealers with warm yellow/neutral, undertones. I am dry/combination depending on the weather. (Oilier in summer, dryer in the winter.) I get oily mainly around my T-zone, particularly my nose, but I have dry patches on my chin and around my nose.
Application: I applied one complete layer to my whole face and blended it a bit down my neck, and went in for a second layer to conceal some blemishes and redness around my nose, forehead and chin. It blended fine, but seemed to dry a bit quickly, so I would recommend doing half your face first.
The application, as claims, was extremely soft and creamy and when applied, didn't feel anything on my skin. Even my L'oreal True Match and Revlon Colorstay has a foundation/masky feel on my face, but this one was so light and airy. It claims to be medium coverage, and I think it is light to medium coverage, but buildable depending on how many layers you decide to apply.
Wear time: When first applied, it looks flawless. I couldn't tell I was wearing foundation at all! It looked and felt like my skin, but blemish-free. It canceled out all the redness around my nose and chin, and evened out my skintone. Normally, I would have to go in with concealer and spot-treat my redness, but I didn't even feel the need to do that. I get oily around my T-zone, and the oil didn't even really surface until around 5 hours after application, and that was only on the center of my nose. Everything else on my face remained matte. It did, however, cling onto some dry patches around my nose, but I have yet to meet a foundation that has not done so. Plus, it is not obvious at all unless you're all up in my face.

Overall: In conclusion, I would rate this foundation a 4.5/5. I am very pleasantly surprised by it. I took away only half a point because after around 5-6 hours, I could see my blemishes coming through and some redness, but I gave it 4.5 points because by that point with any other foundation, I would have been a greasy mess, and would have needed to powder much earlier. This is a wonderful creamy, lightweight matte foundation. It is matte, but does not give your face a flat appearance whatsoever. It wore for an outstanding 8 hours without feeling dry, cakey, or smudging off at all, looking like I had just applied it even 7-8 hours afterwards. I would highly recommend this to a friend, and any random person on the street! It's definitely worth checking out. I think I have found my new favorite foundation, and without breaking the bank either! :)
Let me know if you're planning on picking it up, and what you think!
Thanks for tuning in, catch you soon!

Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in Amaze & So Quiche Review & Swatches

Hello Beauties,

As you all have seen from the previous post, I am in love with colourpop shadows. The formula is super smooth and very buttery. I love how easily they glide onto the lid and have great pigmentation without primer.

Amaze: This is a beautiful gold shimmer shadow. I love wearing this shade alone on the lid and it just creates the most beautiful look.

So Quiche: Is a beautiful olive shade with golden shimmer to it. This has a duo chrome which in different lighting has pink shimmer to it.

Over all I am in love with these shadows, they are super soft and end up as a powder finish. They last a long time with or without primer. To get great pigmentation apply the shadows with your fingers and they come out great. There is also no fall out and these are just amazing. Let me know in the comments below what do you think about these shadows?

Milani Lipstick in Matte Diva Review & Swatches

Hello Beauties,

Milani came out with eight new matte shades that are permanent in the collection. I picked up four of the eight shades and I will be reviewing them for you. Milani kept the packaging same with these lipsticks, gold tube and lid. This lipstick has a slight vanilla scent to it, which I don't mind at all.  Matte Diva is a beautiful matte purple shade, which has almost a satin finish.I love the formula of this lipstick, it glides on the lips smoothly. Wears for more than four hours, but one bad thing is that it does dry out your lips. Over all I am really impressed with this shade and the formula, Milani did a great job. Let me know in the comments below what do you think about this shade? Thank you for reading.

Jordana Modern Matte Lipstick in Matte Bare Review & Swatches

Hello Beauties,

This is my first review for Jordana cosmetics and of course it has to be a lipstick. Couple weeks ago I saw a whole display of new Jordana matte lipsticks and picked up five shades. I have been trying them and now finally I have reviews for you all. The packaging is really cute on this lipstick, it has a clear lid and you can actually see the shade through it.

The formula is super creamy and not drying at all. This formula is creamier than the Maybelline matte lipsticks, YES it is CREAMIER than the Maybelline mattes. The lipstick just glides on your lips and is very pigmented. There is a whole variety of shades in this collection, if I remember correctly there are 12 shades. For less than $4 a lipstick I am really impressed with these. Matte Bare is a beautiful rose shade with brown undertones.

Jordana is a brand that I really don' pay attention to in the stores, but since I have tried these new lipsticks I will be looking for more products. Let me know it the comments below what do you think about these lipsticks? Thank you for reading and have a great day.

Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in Lovely & Cricket Review & Swatches

Hello Beauties,

I am pretty sure you have heard about Colourpop eyeshadows by now. They are everywhere, and everyone has them or has heard about them. I picked up six shades a couple of months ago and have been using them almost every single day. A little background on Colourpop, they are an online brand that sell shadows and lippie stix for $5 dollars each. Just imagine paying $5 for these beautiful shadows.

Lovely is a beautiful gold shade with lots of shimmer in it and under the summer it looks multi-dimensional.

Cricket is the most beautiful deep purple with golden glitter in it. I love using it for a smokey eye and it blends easily.

The formula of these shadows is amazing, they are super soft and creamy I guess. They are a cream to powder finish, and are "bouncy". Trust me to understand the formula of these you need to try them your self. I am just in love with these shadows, I have placed another order and just waiting for it to come. Over all I am really impressed with this company and the quality of their shadows. I hope all of you enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments below what you think about these shadows.

Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bloom Lipstick in Coral Burst Review & Swatches

Hello Beauties,

How are you all today? I hope everyone is having a great new year and enjoying. As you all know Maybelline came out with a Rebel Bloom collection which is permanent. This collection has pastel shades and a lot of the shades did not interested me.

Coral Burst is a beautiful pinkish orange shade. I have a love and hate relationship with Maybelline lipsticks, some of them I love and some I just don't like at all. The formula of this collection is really drying and patchy. You have to have really nice and smooth lips to wear these lipsticks. The lipstick goes on very sheer because of the balmy texture, you really have to build the shade up. I had to do three, four swipes to do this swatch. Over all I am not that impressed with this lipstick, the formula is okay but they are not long lasting at all. I wont be picking up more shades from the collection. I bought two and I think that is enough for me. I hope all of you have a great day. Thank you for reading and don't forget to comment below.

xoxoxo,
