Maybelline The Nudes Palette Review & Swatches

By now I am sure you all have heard about the Maybelline The Nudes palette, or even have tried it. I bought this palette once it came out but I was not sure what I thought about it. So after testing and trying this product for months I have finally a review for you all. This palette was one of the first palettes that Maybelline ever released in their collection. Everyone was very hype on it and still it is seen every where on social media. This eyeshadow palette includes 12 "nude" shades, some are shimmery and some are matte.

The eyeshadows come housed in a slim black plastic container and that has a clear lid so you can peek inside what the shadows look like. On the back of the palette it gives you directions on how to use the shadows, you can use them as quads, trios and duos. Alright so packaging aside lets talk about the eyeshadows. As you can see by the swatches, some of the shades are pigmented and some are not at all. The matte shades are the most pigmented and blendable in this whole palette. I have used this palette with primer and the shadows work a little better when you have a base applied first. This palette can be used by itself or you can add shades from others as well. I have used this as an every day shadow palette and it has worked great on me. Even though some of the shades don't have much pigmentation you can always build them up, but all of them are easily blendable. The shades lasted me only a couple of hours and than started fading away. Over all this palette is not bad for those who like natural every day looks and don't mind some of the sheer shades. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. Thank you for reading and have a great day.

Loreal Infallible Pro Matte Gloss in Blushing Ambition Review & Swatches

Remember these pro matte glosses from last year? Lorael released a whole collection of them but it was limited edition. But recently they released a permanent collection with more and previous shades. Of course mattes are all the hype right now so I had to pick up some shades and review for you all. I love the packaging of these because you can actually see the shade through the glass tube and the applicator is great. The applicator is sponge and is designed to apply the gloss/lipstick without any mistakes.

Blushing Ambition is a beautiful bright pink shade that is perfect for spring time. I have noticed that this color looks different on everyone. Like on my sister it looked like a mauve pink and on me just a pink shade. The formula is super amazing, it is non drying, smooth and silky. Also this gloss is very pigmented, with one swipe you get great color on your lips. Once applied on your lips the gloss does take a couple of minutes to dry down to a matte finish. After that forget it that you are wearing anything on your lips. It is super comfortable to wear and does not transfer at all. It lasted me almost all day and did not dry or flake at all. This lip product is a hybrid for a lipstick and gloss, I just love the formula and the concept of this Loreal Infallible Pro Matte gloss. I will be reviewing more shades coming soon. Let me know in the comments below your thoughts on this product. Thank you for reading and have a great day.

NYX Retractable Lip Liner in Nude Review & Swatches

By now I am sure all of you have heard how creamy and dreamy NYX cosmetics lip liner pencils are. Every time I am in Ulta or CVS I have to pick a couple shades up but the are just great. I have reviewed a lip liner shade HERE so be sure to check that beautiful plum shade out. The lip liners are super affordable and amazing quality. NYX has two types of the lip liners, one is a wooden pencil and one is a retractable pencil which this liner is.

Nude is a beautiful everyday mauve brown shade that suits each and every skintone. I don't think you can go wrong by buying this shade. I have used this with glosses and lipsticks and also used this lip liner pencil to tone down some of the darker lipstick shades. The formula is very creamy and the liner glides on your lips with no tugging or pulling it. Some lip liners are can be drying and very hard to line the lips with but this is very smooth. This liner lasted me through out the day without cracking or fading. Another great thing about this lip liner is that you can fill in your whole lips and wear it just like that. It does not smudge or feather out like some lip liners do. Over all I am very impressed with this liner. Do you have any NYX lip liners in your collection? Let me know below. Thank you for reading and have a great day.

Covergirl Trunaked Goldens Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Like other drugstore companies Covergirl has released its new Spring 2016 collection. In this collection they have released 3 new 8 pan eyeshadow palettes. Today I will be reviewing on of them for you. I love some Covergirl products but when I saw the new eyeshadows at the drugstore I had to pick it up and try them out for you guys. I am glad I did because they shadows are great. And do not worry at all these are permanent in the collection.

They shadows come housed in a thin plastic casing that also includes a dual ended application brush. Who really uses that? The packaging says "shades like a leading $50 eyeshadow palette". Which we all know means that they are comparing it to the Urban Decay Naked palettes. I have the UD naked palettes and have done some comparisons, of course the UD formula is so much better and a little long lasting. The shade names are creme, chiffon, cookie, sunkissed, camel, ginger, ecru and sierra. Yes finally a drugstore company who names the shadows. Lets talk about the formula of these shadows, for $11.95 (depends on where you get it from) the formula is amazing. The shadows go on very smoothly and soft onto the lids. These swatches above are without any primer and you can tell these shadows are super soft and pigmented. My favs are the matte shadows in the palette, they blend easily and are prefect for the crease. With this palette you really don't have to use any other eyeshadow. Without primer these shadows lasted me whole day imagine what it will do with primer. I am seriously impressed with this new formula and collection from Covergirl. This is what I need in a drugstore eyeshadow palette. Let me know in the comments below your thoughts on this palette. Thank you so much for reading and have a wonderful day.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Concentrated Crayon in Creamy Chocolate Review & Swatches

Do you all remember the Maybelline color tattoos ? Yes, Maybelline has created a new version in crayon pencils. As you all know I love the Color Tattoos in the pots I have over 30 of them and they are amazing. So when these came out I was amazed and wanted to know how they are. So I picked up a few shades tested them for you all and now its time for a review. First of all I would like to say is that the concept of the crayon pencil is nothing new. A lot of companies has done the chubby eye pencil, even though I am not really into the whole crayon thing I really enjoyed these. The one amazing thing about these are that they are twist up pencils, I mean who really likes to sharpen? Not me!

Creamy Chocolate is a beautiful bronze golden shimmery shade. The formula is amazing in this color tattoo crayon, it glides on the lids smoothly without any tugging or pulling. With one swipe you get great pigmentation. You can easily blend with your finger for a softer look or layer this pencil for a more darker and smoky look. This shadow stick is not sticky at all, so its really hard to layer a powder shadow on top of it. But you can surely try to add a light powder shadow so it comes out more pigmented. This pencil lasted me more than six hours on the lids and did not crease or fade at all. There are a total of 10 shadows sticks in this collection. I bet Maybelline will be coming out with more shades soon. Over all I am really impressed with this new Maybelline Color Tattoo Crayon! Let me know in the comments below what are your thoughts on this crayon? Thank you for reading and have a great day.

New Wet N Wild Coloricon Blush in Rose Champagne Review & Swatches

Spring 2016 is coming (well its snowing outside). But companies have released their Spring collections. Wet N Wild has released new blushes that are reformulated and repackaged. As you can see my from post HERE Wet N Wild has released new shades and also old shades in the new formula. So lets take a closer look at this new blush from Wet N Wild.

First of all the packaging is different from the old blushes, this packaging has a larger clear lid. The shade name is in the front and also comes with a tiny blush brush. Rose Champagne is a beautiful every day natural shade with light shimmer in it. This did not suite my skin that well but the blush itself is beautiful. I think it will look great on light skin. The blush is super pigmented and is not powdery at all. With one swipe you get great pigmentation and you don't have to really "dig in" to get the product out. This blush works well with big blush brushes and it goes on smoothly on skin. This blush lasted me 4-5 hours which is great. I have so many Wet N Wild blushes and I love them. They are great and also very affordable. Over all I am super impressed with the formula of this blush. Maybe I can use it with other blushes so it can work with my skin tone. Let me know in the comments below your thoughts on this blush. Thank you so much for reading and have a great day.

Maybelline The Rock Nudes Review & Swatches

The drugstore has a new eyeshadow palette and this one is from Maybelline. Yes Maybelline has released another new palette and yes to begin with this is a disappointment. When Maybelline released this palette I was super excited, who can deny a drugstore palette? But after swatching and trying it I am not liking it it all. According to Maybelline you can create 13 different looks with this palette and it comes with 12 smoky shadows. The packaging is cute like other Maybelline palettes you can see the shadows through the clear lid.

Who doesn't love a smoky palette? There are so many smoky palettes out there that I bet each one of you have one in your collection.  This Rock Nudes palette has shimmer and glitter shadows in it. At first thought I was really excited to use this palette, but when I started swatching I was bummed. The shadows in this palette have no type of pigmentation and you would think the glitter has some but nope, none at all. I really had to dig my fingers in there so I can at least show you all some of the shades but it did not work out. I did not use a primer because I was getting really frustrated with the shadows. Application is bad because the shadows are super hard and some what dry. I have other Maybelline palettes (reviews coming soon) which work great but this one just did not do it for me. The shadows are pretty to create smoky look even you can create a "nude" look. But no pigmentation at all. Over all I am not that impressed with this eyeshadow palette from Maybelline. They have other ones that are much better. Let me know in the comments below your thoughts on this post. Thank you for reading and have a great day.

NEW Wet N Wild Coloricon Blush in Mellow Wine Review & Swatches

Wet N Wild has released a new formula (re formulated) of their very famous color icon blushes. This new release is for Spring of 2015 and comes with three blushes. Two of the shades are from previous line and one shade is now. This shade that we will be talking about is one of the older shades which they just reformulated and put it in new packaging.

First of all lets talk about the packaging, they have made the clear top much bigger so you can see the blush. The formula of this Wet N Wild blush is great, it is a little different from the original blush but not disappointing. The blush is very soft and velvety, goes smoothly on the skin and is not powdery at all. I have never come across a powdery blush from Wet N Wild so they are doing a great job with the formula. The blush is very pigmented and with one swipe you get great color on your cheeks. One thing I did notice about these new blushes is that they kind of fade fairly quickly. The previous use to last more than seven hours, but these fade within the five hour mark. I love the re packaging of the blushes, this packaging is much better and easily fits into my makeup drawer. Also the one thing they did not change is the price so you can buy this blush for $2.99 at drugstores. Over all I like the new formula just wish it stayed on a little longer. Let me know in the comments below your thoughts on this shade? Thank you for reading and have a great day.
