Maybelline Up In Smoke Palette Review & Swatches (Holiday 2015)

Maybelline has released new palettes for the Holiday 2015 collection. They released two palettes, one is the Gilded In Gold  collection which I have already reviewed and the one is this Up In Smoke. These palettes are $12-$15 at the drugstore and I found mine at CVS. I used coupons to get my palettes and sometimes they are buy one get one half. The packaging is super cute, it comes in a cardboard box with directions in the back.

This holiday palette includes shadows, highlighter, blush, eyeliner pencil, lip gloss and a couple of brushes. The eye shadows are very pigmented and are great for smoky eye. They go on great on the lids but there is a little fall out when applying. If you apply with eye shadow primer the shadows are more vibrant. The blush is beautiful also it is a perfect shade to go with the smoky look. I wasn't really impressed with the highlight shade in this palette it just did not go on very well. The lip gloss shade wasn't that great also, it was not pigmented. But the kohl liner was great and the black is very deep. Over all this holiday eyeshadow palette was alright, I would not spend more than $7 on it if I really needed to buy it. But it is great to see drugstore companies are coming out with holiday palettes. Let me know in the comments below your thoughts on this palette. Thank you for reading and have a great day.

Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid Lipstick in Nude Flush Review & Swatches

Recently Maybelline released a new permanent liquid lipstick collection for Spring 2016. Yes another liquid lipsticks range from the drugstore. I spotted these at CVS and had to pick some shades up. I have been trying the lipsticks for a while now and it is time for review. There are a total of 10 shades in this new collection ranging from nudes to bright shades. I picked up the nudes and have been loving them.

The liquid lipstick comes housed in a square clear tube and the applicator is made of sponge and is flat. I actually like the packaging of this liquid lipstick, it is very sturdy and also very portable. You can throw it in your purse and it doesn't take up lot of space. Lets talk about the formula of this liquid lipstick. The formula is very smooth and velvety I would say it is the best drugstore liquid lipstick formula I have tried. It just glides on the lips and is very pigmented. You can actually feel the product once applied on the lips but it does not feel thick or sticky. It takes a little bit time to dry down to a matte finish but not a long time. This liquid lipstick lasted over six hours on my lips without fading or budging. It also does not transfer and once you drink something it stays on your lips. Nude Flush is a very pale brown nude shade. I always fill it in with a brown lip liner to make it look "alive" on me. Over all I am really impressed with this new lipstick, it is long lasting and very affordable. Let me know in the comments below your thoughts on this liquid lipstick. Thank you for reading and have a great day.

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Cheek Flush Blush In Pop Of Peach Review & Swatches

Couple of months ago Maybelline released new baby skin cheek blushes in this super cute packaging. I picked this blush up and have been trying it out and now it is time for review. They released this for Fall 2015 collection, I was really excited when I heard this was from the Baby Skin line. The packaging is adorable it has a kind of shark fin on top when you take the top off you can see the small blush. The blush and the top are one piece and the plastic container is one piece. This makes it very easy to apply the blush onto your cheeks.

Pop Of Peach is a pretty light peach shade that goes on kind of glossy on the lids. The formula is very hydrating and kind of gel like so this is not great for people who have oily skin. I have dry skin so this suited very well on top of my cheeks. I applied it just like it is and blended it out with my fingers and it looked very greasy kind of. I feel like the gel formula is very pigmented that's why it makes your cheeks look very oily and shiny. I have not tried it with a powder blush yet on top but I feel like it wont work out that great. The one disappointing thing about this blush is that it only lasts a couple of hours on the cheeks. Over all I am not that impressed with this blush hopefully they can remake the formula and come out with more shades next year. Let me know in the comments below your thoughts on this blush. Thank you for reading and have a great day.

Revlon Not Just Nudes Eyeshadow Palette in Romantic Nudes Review & Swatches

A lot of drugstore companies have been coming out with eyeshadow palettes at some high prices. I have tried a bunch and some I am impressed with some I am very disappointed. Recently Revlon released 2 new eyeshadow palettes called Not Just Nudes. I picked up both of them and have been trying them for a while now. After trying these shadows for a while and playing around with them with primer and no primer I have finally come to write this review.

First of all lets talk about the packaging, it has a clear front and includes 10 eye shadows. The packaging feels light and the plastic feels very cheap. If I am spending over $10 for an eyeshadow palette I at least want some good packaging or sturdy. Now to the shadows which are cooler toned in this palette. These shadows are fairly pigmented but as soon as you swatch and try to blend them out they disappear. Some of the shades are powdery and don't apply well with or without primer. The purple shade in the end had too much fall out and will not blend at all, like some other shades. These stayed on my lids for a couple of hours and started fading away. Some of the shadows seemed dry to so I had to really dig in with my brush to apply them. Over all I am not that impressed with this eye shadow palette. This is Revlons first time at a whole eye shadow palette but for next time I hope they do a little better. I wouldn't pay over $10 for this type of quality product. Let me know in the comments below your thoughts on this palette. Thank you for reading and have a great day.

Maybelline Gilded In Gold Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches ( Holiday 2015)

The holidays are here and of course holiday makeup palettes are out. This is the first time I have seen a holiday makeup palette from Maybelline. I was really intrigued with this palette and I had to pick it up from my local drugstore. First of all the packaging is so beautiful, I love how the palette opens up to reveal eye shadows and than another compartment that has a highlighter and a blush. It is so beautiful and I love the colors in this palette. This palette costs from $12-$15 depending on where you get it from and if it is on sale.

This palette comes with four eye shadows that are very neutral and are for everyday wear. The shadows are pigmented but not that much. I feel like they are a little powdery too, applied with a primer these shadows are great. The blush is so pretty for everyday use, it is a matte apricot blush and goes on very smoothly on the skin.  The highlighter is a shimmery light pale shade which does not look great on my skin tone. Also this palette includes a red gloss which is pretty and perfect for the holidays. The gloss is very pigmented but it is very sticky and does not last a long time on the lips. It also comes with a black kohl eyeliner which is kind of stiff. Over all I am okay with this palette, I like the eye shadows with a primer they are great for everyday look. The blush I like the most because it is prefect for my skin tone and I wear this everyday. Let me know in the comments below your thoughts on this palette. Have you picked it up? Thank you for reading and have a great day.

Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in Moonshine Review & Swatches

Are you guys tired of my Colourpop reviews? I am not! I seriously love all the shadows and products they have. Today I will reviewing on the of super shock shadows that is so beautiful. This shadow is from the Boogie Nights collection on Colourpop. The packaging is the same with a clear lid and a round container. The name and the finish of the shadow is displayed on the back. Also don't forget these shadows are only $5 which makes it a great deal.

Moonshine is a beautiful dark chocolate brown with gold glitter in it. I just love the combo of the dark brown and the glitter. It makes the eyelid pop so much with the perfect crease color. This shadow formula is super smooth and goes on very easily on the lid. I have applied this shadow with my fingers and it glides on smoothly on the lids. This shadow is super pigmented and doesn't really require a primer. This shadow lasted me all day long and looked the same as I applied in the morning. So beautiful and perfect for any occasion. Over all I am really impressed with this shadow and will keep buying more Colourpop. Let me know in the comments below your thoughts on this shadow.

Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette in Romantic Smoked Review and Swatches

Makeup Revolution is one of these brands that I have heard a lot about but never actually got to try them because of online only ordering for the US. Recently I was at Ulta and came across a whole display of MR products and got very excited. MR is a brand that is based in London, I have looked on the website many times but when I see shipping costs I always back out. Ulta has a variety of MR products and for very affordable drugstore prices. I picked up a couple of palettes and today I will be reviewing on the of them for you.

First of all lets talk about the packaging of this palette. It does look very cheap and the plastic is not even that great. The twelve shadows come house in a plastic package with a clear lid, the name and the ingredients are listed on the back of the palette. For a drugstore point the packaging is alright, but you have to be careful because it can easily break. This palette includes six shimmery and six matte shades which range from nudes to dark smokey pigments. At first look you can create many different looks with this palette which is great. The pigmentation is great on this palette but you can always apply a primer and get more intense pigmentation. The formula of the shadows is very powdery and some of them are stiff also. I applied the swatches with the brush that comes in the palette and the shadows seemed chalky also. Without primer these shadows lasted me four hours before creasing and fading away and with primer they lasted a little bit longer.

Over all I am okay with this palette I think I will using the matte shades more than the shimmery ones. The price range is not bad at all for this palette and it has some great shades to create many looks. Let me know in the comments below if you have tried anything from Makeup Revolution. Thank you so much for reading and have a great day.

Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in Rhinestone Review & Swatches

If you have been reading my blog recently, you would know that I have been reviewing Colourpop Super shock eye shadows. These shadows are from the new Colourpop Holiday line which is called boogie nights. I love CP because they have great quality and the shadows are only $5 each. The shadows come housed in a beautiful round container with a clear lid and the name of the shadow written on the back. I have been placing a lot of orders on the CP website, there are just so many great shadows and collections. You can only purchase CP online and it is not available in the UK yet.

Rhinestone: is a beautiful blue shadow with teal undertones to it. Because of the pearlized finish of this shadow I realized that you really have to build it up to get a opaque color. You can layer this shadow on the lids with your fingers or a synthetic shadow brush. I have noticed no fall out with this shadow and it can be worn with or without primer. Once you start building this shadow up it looks beautiful on the lids. Also a great idea is to use this shadow as your under the water line shade. This shadow is great for every skin tone and lasts all day on the lids. The texture is very smooth and it is not gritty at all. Over all I am really impressed with this super shock shadow, let me know in the comments below your thoughts on this shadow. Thank you for reading and have a great day.
